She is a Member of the Artist Registry of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, as well as the Caribbean Creative Network and is the proud mother of two daughters and a loving wife based in the wonderful island of Tobago. Despite her busy schedule, she loves working with young people and civil society organizations on the island, and she is a strong youth advocate both in Trinidad and Tobago and to a greater extent the Caribbean Region and the Global South. A in Communications Studies with Linguistics and International Relations (First Class Honours) and an M.Sc in Global Studies (Distinctions) from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.
The Tide Reclaims
On the lush, storm-battered island of St. Gyles, where turquoise waves crash against eroding shores and age, old traditions collide with rising tides, but a shared mission and an undeniable spark draw together two souls. The Tide Reclaims follows marine biologist Megan Rivera, who returns home after years abroad to find her childhood paradise crumbling under the weight of climate change.
Collection of Poems
This is not merely a book of poetry; it is an anthology of the author’s life through five distinct themes: women in society, civil society movements, inspiration and motivation, exploring the world and roots, and identity. Take a journey with Latoyaa Roberts and feel empowered, inspired, whimsical and baffled as she expresses her feelings about significant issues affecting her life and the Caribbean society she lives in through poetry and art.
